All Up In The AirDropping things since 2003!

Have I ever mentioned that I absolutely hate the absence of seasons here in Las Vegas? Part of me was a little jealous to hear that northern California got pounded with such severe storms that tens of thousands of people were without power for a day. I know, the grass is always greener and all that stuff. But, see, the grass is artificially green here so it shouldn’t really count. The cynic in me is popping out.

I remember in Sacramento when the weather would get really cold and stormy the first part of January. Then almost every year, the sun would come out and it would warm up to about 60 for the last week of the month. It confirmed for me either that Seasonal Affective Disorder is for real or that I have weather-related bipolar disorder. Either way it was so uplifting.

I got my hopes up when it got overcast here and the forecast called for rain. Luckily I live by the phrase “expect the worst, hope for the best”. It got a little cloudy here and there was a fine mist in the air for about 20 minutes but that’s about it. I cursed the sun when it came back out again.

Oh yeah, I got myself a brand new Nikon D40x as a present for starting my new job. I plan on doing Project 365 this year so I can learn about my camera. So soon I’ll be posting the photos I’ve taken every day.
